Email Compliance

This page explains the email BuyTheBar sends, where addresses come from, and how to control what you receive.

1. Transactional Email

BuyTheBar sends transactional email to operate your account and respond to actions you take. These messages are not marketing and are sent only to the address on the relevant account. They include:

  • Email address verification when you create an account.
  • Password reset links you request.
  • Account and security notifications.
  • Bartender application and booking updates as those features become available.

Transactional email is sent from accounts@buytheb.ar using Amazon SES, our transactional email provider.

2. Marketing Email

BuyTheBar does not currently send marketing or promotional email. If we introduce it, we will send it only to people who explicitly opt in for BuyTheBar, every message will identify BuyTheBar as the sender, and every message will include a working unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing will not affect the transactional email required to operate your account.

3. Where Addresses Come From

We email the address you provide when you create an account or apply as a bartender. We do not buy email lists, and we do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent for BuyTheBar.

4. Unsubscribes, Bounces, and Complaints

Until in-message unsubscribe links are live for any future marketing program, you can manage marketing preferences or request removal by emailing hello@buytheb.ar. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly. We also monitor bounces and spam complaints and suppress addresses that hard bounce or report our mail, so we stop sending to addresses that should no longer receive it.
